Day 10

So tomorrow i have my post op follow up.  The last couple days have been a little tought.  i have actually tried to stay off my feet the last two days.  i have continue to ice.  Still having issue with my right leg but i am able to bend my knee.  However I still can't put a lot of pressure on the leg.  My left leg feels pretty good still a little pain but not a whole lot and able to stand and put some pressure on the leg .

Something to remember is your going to find that doing a lot of simple thing will take a lot more enegery.

you have to remember that even standing up to brush your teeth will be considerable painful. Going to the bathroom is a challenge if you stand you put pressure on your legs if you sit you have to be mindful about bending your legs.
When you bath you have to think about how your bathing so you don't get soap in the incision.  if you decide your going to shower you need to have something to sit on in the shower than you need to make sure you have a plan on how your going to get up safely and drying off as well as putting on your cloths
dressing changes is not something you will probably be able to do yourself especially if you have lower incision you will have a hard time reaching that one and changing the dressing.
something you might want to think about is grip sock like the one they give you when you leave the hospital and extra pair might be nice.
Icing your leg .you need to make sure you have enough ice pack to keep some cold at all time when rotating
My doctor recommend I keep my compression stocking on at all time your maybe different but they were a pain to take on and off for bathing and can take a little time put on plus you want to make sure your legs are dry but your not damaging the stitches

Here are some picture so hope to post more pictures tomorrow after my post off visit. I did have a little bleeding on the lower right leg incision nothing major.

side note for people that have hairy legs they will have them before you surgery while your knock out.
I do have some muscle spasm with my right foot that cause my right big toe to involuntary move.  This has been occurring the last 4 days.
one thing to remember at least for me first thing in the morning my pain is level is at a very high level.
